Description:   Opened: 2006-10-05 16:56 0000
Since my world update two days ago, amarok-1.4.0a-r1 (the current stable lead)
fails to start on my system with:

tittel@uranus:~$ amarok
amaroK: [Loader] Starting amarokapp..
amaroK: [Loader] Don't run gdb, valgrind, etc. against this binary! Use
amarokapp.
amaroK: [Loader] amarokapp probably crashed!
tittel@uranus:~$

I've run revdep-rebuild but linkage does not seem to be broken. Then I tried
re-emerging amarok. This fails with:

/bin/sh ../../libtool --silent --mode=link --tag=CXX x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-g++

I have correctly set the opengl implementation to use to "nvidia" using
eselect. I think the problem might be related to
x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-1.0.8774 going stable (at least these were part of
the world update after which things broke).

Output of emerge --info:

------- Comment #1 From Stefan Tittel 2006-10-05 17:12:22 0000 -------
Addendum: The problem seems to be related to the "opengl" USE flag. If the
"opengl" USE flag is set, amaroK fail to run and compile as described above. If
the "opengl" USE flag is not set, amaroK compiles and runs fine.

------- Comment #2 From Jakub Moc (RETIRED) 2006-10-06 00:09:57 0000 -------
eselect opengl set xorg-x11, try again. Not an amarok bug anyway.
