As far as more and more people have Wi-Fi cards, isn't it a justified conviction to put ndiswrapper to minimal cd ? In the causes when Wi-Fi card is only way to connect to the internet, without ndiswrapper MinimalCD becomes usless. I know that minimal mean 'minimal' but it should support at least base hardware. I think that Wi-Fi card is such base hardware. There is not enough OpenSource drivers for Wi-Fi cards, so answer for that (for many people) is ndiswrapper.
