Description Bob Johnson 2006-09-12 13:17:41 UTC
Here's the error:
cp doc/*.html /var/tmp/portage/esdl-0.94.0125/image///usr/lib/erlang/lib//esdl-0.94.0125/doc
cp ebin/*beam /var/tmp/portage/esdl-0.94.0125/image///usr/lib/erlang/lib//esdl-0.94.0125/ebin
cp priv/* /var/tmp/portage/esdl-0.94.0125/image///usr/lib/erlang/lib//esdl-0.94.0125/priv
cp: cannot stat `priv/*': No such file or directory
make: *** [install] Error 1

      !!! (no error message)
      !!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, and the call stack if relevant.

The ~x86 version of this package seems to compile and run, so the eventual fix is to make the ~x86 package stable. This is just an FYI bug since a search on esdl didn't show any other bug reports for this issue.

This erm..isn't a gcc-4.1 bug, its a error from these lines in a cp function which is entirely different, course I did test 626 before looking at the error *whistle* and get a different problem but that can be worked on at a later date.

Leaving it up to spanky and disappearing as the evil person I am ^.^;;
Comment 2 Christian Faulhammer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-09-17 03:33:06 UTC
1) emerges fine
2) passes collision test
3) media-gfx/wings emerges fine on it but fails running:

Same error on ppc when trying to run the tests that come with esdl:

Driver Failed {error,{open_error,"/usr/lib/erlang/lib/esdl-0.96.0626/priv/sdl_driver.so: undefined symbol: driver_binary_inc_refc"}}
sh: line 0: exec: sdl_driver: not found

readd us when this is fixed.
Comment 4 Joshua Jackson (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-10-24 22:10:52 UTC
fatal errors? should be repaired...ignore as the tests are known broken?
Comment 5 Michael Weyershäuser 2006-11-03 16:53:23 UTC
With the current stable glibc the stable erlang doesn't build (not counting the fact that there is no stable erlang on amd64). No older versions of esdl were stable on amd64, so I'll just remove us from this. Feel free to readd amd64 once bug 151612 has been resolved.

media-libs/esdl-0.96.0626
1. emerges on x86
2. passes collision test
3. media-gfx/wings-0.98.29b emerges and works with this version

Comment 7 Christian Faulhammer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-12-03 16:50:36 UTC
stable on x86

Added amd64 and ppc, as there is also alpha.
Comment 8 Matti Bickel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-12-22 08:18:12 UTC
ppc da stable

Comment 10 Christian Faulhammer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-01-22 07:51:46 UTC
vapier, do you really need alpha and amd64 stable for this package?
Comment 11 Christian Faulhammer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-01-29 13:46:08 UTC
amd64 does not need it.
