Its alright with me to do a x86 specific filter of this flag. Its not ideal, but for a program of this size, I'm sure there's a lot more memory constraint problems after this. If someone else feels like poking at it feel free, but I don't have the time currently.
Created attachment 96134 [details] Ebuild with -fforce-addr filtered out on x86 with gcc-4.1 I had this error and this flag enabled. I don't know what are those memory constraint problems mentioned, but without -fforce-addr flag it compiles and works fine. So I created an ebuild, maybe someone will find it useful - it filters out this flag on x86 with gcc-4.1 - When I had gcc-3.4.6 kdetv compiled fine with this flag on.
patch applied to fix this on x86.
