I use courier-imapd and I start courier-imapd-ssl service. Now I found the service doesn't start. I made some testing and I found that there is some problem with start-stop-daemon program from baselayout-1.12.4-r2. When I downgrade to baselayout-1.11.15-r3, the start-stop-daemon can start courier-imapd-ssl. But when I upgrade to baselayout-1.12.4-r2, the start-stop-daemon is unable to start courier-imapd-ssl service. It doesn't write any error message, just "[!!]" status. When I use the baselayout-1.12.4-r2 I cannot start the courier-imapd-ssl process, but when I downgrade baselayout and make copy of start-stop-daemon, the upgrade baselayout to last version, and then I change /etc/init.d/courier-imapd-ssl to use the copied version from 1.11.15-r3, then I can start service without any error. I have checked the source code start-stop-daemon, but I cannot find any suspicios code.
