Description Mr.Mad 2006-08-12 03:24:39 UTC
After upgrade the x264-svn to the version x264-svn-20060810
the blender stops running - complain about x264 lib not found.
After reemerge the blender nothing change - moreover
the ebuild continue to install blender without blender binary !!!
There were ld error during build but it seems to be ignored and
emerge installed the blender without main prog.
Can this be fixed to use the latest x264-svn ?
Temprorary solution is downgrade the x264-svn and mplayer ...

Please, don't restrict bugs without any reason. Just leave the checkboxes alone.

Dep pinned

I don't want to be a PITA, but the only thing this solution will produce is a perpetual upgrade/downgrade cycle for anyone using ffmpeg or whatever else that depends on x264-svn (plus it will break if media-libs/x264-svn-20060612 ever gets a revbump, since you are using = instead of ~)

Comment 4 Luca Barbato gentoo-dev 2006-08-12 05:56:19 UTC
You are right about the ~, about the upgrade/downgrade I could check if they slot nicely, for now I'll ~pin it
