Description Eric Augustus 2006-07-28 23:07:19 UTC
With splashutils-1.3-r1 installed, fgconsole will segfault at bootup, and require a reboot. It can be bypassed if 'F2' is selected before bootup reaches 100%.

The culprit seems to be left over 32-bit object files in miscsplashutils-0.1.4. There are kbd/fgconsole.o and kbd/getfd.o object files that prevent a proper compile of fgconsole when attempting to build on amd64 because they are 32-bit object files.

Cleanup the leftover *.o files and it fixes problem.
