Description Tamran Lengyel 2006-07-20 23:02:05 UTC
I have had issues with being forced to install mozilla, ephiphany and seamonkey with certain packages (like gnome, eclipse and monodevelop). I've managed to sort of hack out a solution. Please see http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-482255-highlight-.html for details. I think this may be a bug that packages like monodevelop REQUIRE mozilla. I did some symlinking and export commands to make it work with firefox. Other packages force these other browsers too. I just want firefox which is why I did this hack.

My apologies if I put this bug in the wrong spot. I don't know where it should be. I also apologize for not being more specific.

The packages I've run into issues with masking the browsers are:

dev-dotnet/gecko-sharp
gnome-main/gnome

I'm sure there are other packages too that have this problem (eclipse-sdk?)

Regards,

Tamran
