I try to merge hal (by an update cycle emerge -uDN world) and it fail for the following reason :

* checking 145 files for package collisions
existing file /media/.keep is not owned by this package
* spent 0.0609710216522 seconds checking for file collisions
* This package is blocked because it wants to overwrite
* files belonging to other packages (see messages above).
* If you have no clue what this is all about report it
* as a bug for this package on http://bugs.gentoo.org

I'm on stable system with :
/etc/portage/package.keywords:
sys-apps/855resolution ~x86
app-dicts/babytrans ~x86
app-dicts/babytrans-en ~x86
app-dicts/babytrans-en2fre ~x86
x11-apps/xfontsel ~x86
dev-python/simpletal ~x86
app-dicts/myspell-fr ~x86

Thi bug is replayable on my system.

http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/udev-guide.xml - see the link to udev rules guide at the bottom. Don't really see how should we document udev rules writing in an ebuild.
