After upgrading to Evolution 1.2.1 via an emerge, Evolution now cannot show menu
items containing certain letters, specifically Swedish letters

After upgrading to Evolution 1.2.1 via an emerge, Evolution now cannot show menu
items containing certain letters, specifically Swedish letters å, ä, ö. It seems
that if a menu item contains any of these letters, the whole text for the menu
item is completely gone. The menu still works, and does what it's supposed to,
though some menus are completely empty and only show a tiny emtpy widget.

Setting the language when logging into X does not change anything either, the
menus are still in Swedish, I assume that's according to the locale of the
system, and thus the menu items disappear.
