I would like to request a feature in portage that only updated packages that only updated packages that had known flaws in the code as such a feautre would be great for people like myself that run servers only keep there packages upto date when a  flaw is found rather then bringing the most of the system down while doing a emerge -e world every other day and making sure config files are ok during the update.

An idea that came to mind was maybe a way of  having portage check the world file againt a glsa database to see if a version number has a known flaw then ask to update if needed.

Any comments on my idea would be great
