Description Amit Pansare 2002-12-21 14:43:41 UTC
Wish emerge could search for masked packages that are installed.
Sometimes few things can fail coz of masked packages. If emerge could produces
the list of masked packages installed, it might help in resolving the issues.

Scenario,
I had installed xft which is masked one. While upgrading pangoo and gtk+, Pangoo
1.0.5 got no problems. GTK+-2.0.9 however failed saying that it cannot link to
Pango. failed on "pango_new_context = no"
If emerge could have quickly produced masked packages list, the eye could have
hit masked packages that could affect X11-libs.

This feature could be a nice add-on in special cases.
