I've recently hit up against a problem with KDE and the latest Fluxbox: Fluxbox's Slit will take all system tray icons instead of letting KDE have them. This behavior can't be disabled at runtime -- instead, it must be killed at compile time.
Created an attachment (id=79443) [details] Ebuild with new USE flag.
Hrm. Are upstream aware that there are issues?
No, given that I usually disable these things anyway while running KDE on my main rig, and have it active on my laptop that doesn't have KDE. They did give the choice to kill the slit, and since I have KDE's Panel covering the Slit anyway, disabling it is a logical choice.
Ok. I added a disableslit for now.
