Description:   Opened: 2006-01-22 07:21 0000
Since the 'fbi' package is deprecated and no longer developed upstream, I'd
like to remove it from the tree, leaving only its successor 'fbida' in place.

fbi is currently keyworded for many more arches than fbida is. I don't have
access to the necessary hardware to test fbida on all these arches, but I
suspect it will work just fine (its code is largely based on fbi).

When you get some time, please check whether it compiles on $your_arch. If it
does, please keyword it appropriately, and if it does not, report it here.
Thanks in advance.

fbida-2.03-r1 ~sparc'ed (builds and seems fine on an X-modular system, all IUSE
flags USEd.)

------- Comment #2 From Markus Rothe 2006-01-24 08:33:54 0000 -------
added ~ppc64. leaving ppc64 CC'd for a stable marking reminder.

------- Comment #3 From Bryan Østergaard (RETIRED) 2006-02-19 14:45:07 0000 -------
~alpha keyworded.

------- Comment #4 From Markus Rothe 2006-03-01 12:35:35 0000 -------
time to mark stable? this is more than 30 days ~ppc64 without open bugs

------- Comment #5 From Michal Januszewski 2006-03-04 13:02:26 0000 -------
Markus: As far as I'm concerned, it's OK to go forward with it.

------- Comment #6 From Markus Rothe 2006-03-05 09:18:53 0000 -------
stable on ppc64

------- Comment #7 From Michal Januszewski 2006-04-09 08:03:29 0000 -------
I wouldn't want to rush things or anything, but is there any progress with the
two remaining arches (or any problems with the packages on these arches)?

------- Comment #8 From Jeroen Roovers 2006-04-09 10:25:18 0000 -------
Marked ~hppa. Has been working very well and I marked it unstable late, so I
might mark it stable slightly earlier than the standard 30 day period. Leaving
hppa CC.

------- Comment #9 From Jeroen Roovers 2006-06-13 19:15:10 0000 -------
Stable on hppa. amd64 still has no keywords for any of the ebuilds.

------- Comment #10 From lothalev@gmail.com 2006-06-16 02:56:54 0000 -------
What if exiftran package was created from fbida? exiftran is the only tool I
use from fbida (and the only binary installed if fbida is compiled with USE=-X.
Does anybody use other facilities of fbida? Maybe just renaming fbida to
exiftran would suffice (as it is pretty hard to find exiftran in Gentoo, while
in Ubuntu/Debian apt-get install exiftran is enough)?

------- Comment #11 From Simon Stelling (RETIRED) 2006-06-23 10:04:58 0000 -------
amd64 is done, move on

------- Comment #12 From Michal Januszewski 2006-07-02 11:22:45 0000 -------
Guys, if there are no problems with media-gfx/fbida, could we please mark it
stable on alpha and ppc, so that media-gfx/fbi can be removed from the tree?

Mike: Could you please keyword it for sh, so that the keywords for
media-gfx/fbida are fully in sync with media-gfx/fbi?

------- Comment #13 From Lars Weiler (RETIRED) 2006-07-02 11:49:12 0000 -------
I have some warnings on ppc, but in the end it compiles and works. So, stable.
