http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/handbook-x86.xml?part=2&chap=1 The "Upgrading your System" section omits revdep-reconf. I suggest to remove the useless code example "emerge --update --deep world" because that can be safely replaced by the following "emerge --update --deep --newuse world" and possibly remake the whole chapter in the style "To upgrade your system, just type emerge sync emerge -u --newuse --deep world revdep-rebuild, and don't ask why. If you want to know why, then it's because we suffer from autism and we intentionally refuse to write one system_upgrade script that would type these complicated commands for you. Sorry, autistic people cannot imagine the others can have different experience and thinking than themselves. See the Wikipedia article on autism for more information why the system upgrade has to be so complicated. "
Before filing a bug, do a basic research at least, so that you don't actually suggest crap like non-existant revdep-reconf command. Thanks.
