Description:   Opened: 2006-01-04 13:33 0000 
Summary says it all; we now have DISTDIR set to a tmp dir with symlinks to the
SRC_URI stated files.

cvs/svn pulls however don't have any set SRC_URI; need a solution for this else
the change needs to be backed out.

Suggested from ciaran is addition of another var that holds the actual distdir,
and modify eclasses in question to use that directory.  Would work, although
I'd like solar's input on any outstanding perm/security issues with our
existing cvs/svn handling- that and any suggestions of improvements we should
do since the opportunity exists now.
