It is a new snapshot, if you can also test firefire/dv and v4l would be a boon.
Please also follow with media-libs/xine-lib-1.1.1-r1 as that uses ffmpeg.
"if you can also test firefire/dv and v4l would be a boon." if by packages I don't appear to see any with that naming (I know v4l is a kernel builtin). If by USE flags, There are no apparent USE flags for firefire/dv in the ffmpmeg snapshot you mention. Diego: Just to clarify, you'd like us to also mark 1.1.1-r1 ~arch as well correct?
firefire should have been firewire, so the useflag is ieee1394; v4l is an useflag :P and yes, I'm asking for ~arch marking of that, too; I committed it as -* to follow the ffmpeg version it depends on.
ffmpeg ~x86 marked. Flameeyes: please fix 112125 so we can mark xine-lib.
Both ffmpeg-0.4.9_p20051120 and xine-lib-1.1.1-r1 marked ~amd64.
marked ffmpeg-0.4.9_p20051120 and xine-lib-1.1.1-r1 ~ppc64
On ~amd64 I get this when merging ffmpeg: ./configure --prefix=/usr --host=x86_64-pc-linux-gnu --mandir=/usr/share/man --infodir=/usr/share/info --datadir=/usr/share --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var/lib --disable-shared-pp --disable-shared --enable-static --enable-mmx --disable-altivec --disable-debug --disable-mp3lame --enable-a52 --disable-a52bin --disable-audio-oss --disable-v4l --disable-dv1394 --disable-dc1394 --disable-pthreads --enable-xvid --enable-libogg --enable-vorbis --disable-theora --enable-dts --enable-network --enable-zlib --enable-ffplay --enable-faad --enable-faac --disable-faadbin --enable-gpl --enable-pp --disable-opts --libdir=/usr/lib64 --build=x86_64-pc-linux-gnu Unknown option "--host=x86_64-pc-linux-gnu". That's correct I won't make the use_enable logic messy just because some dis/enable options are missing when the opposite is present. Probably I'll try to put an use_enable_only and a use_disable_only once I got time and will to do it properly.
~x86 marked.

My apologies, apparently my illegal instruction issues were due to slightly aggressive CFLAGS. Compiling with --enable-debug and CFLAGS="" fixed the problem. Keyworded ~ppc-macos.
removing ppc-macos from the cc list, since Lina keyworded
could I have a list of CFLAGS causing issues on macosx and the emerge info for the alpha problem?
> the emerge info for the alpha problem? See the bottom half of Comment #15 If you need any furthur infomation or would like me to test anything, just let me know.
(In reply to comment #18) > could I have a list of CFLAGS causing issues on macosx and the emerge info for > the alpha problem? Lina, Luca wants you to show your (near -fast) CFLAGS ;)
Removing ppc from CC, we have media-video/ffmpeg-0.4.9_p20051216 marked stable.
Alpha done by kloeri. The issues reported by Thomas on comment #15 have been 'magically' solved (we've got a new toolchain stable now).
vapier apparently marked media-video/ffmpeg-0.4.9_p20051216 stable for hppa a while back...

Stale bug I guess...
