This tool automatically looks for and configures Brazilian daylight saving time offsets, which change early in Brazil. It was developed by a Debian developer, and there is no distinction between the Debian package and the developer's. Although there is a "source code", it doesn't really matter, since the package contains only some scripts and other text files; in the "source code" tarball files are stored with no directory hierarchy. There is a discussion in the ebuild about a script which goes to /etc/ppp/ip-up.d/, where Debian packages install their scripts to be ran when conection becomes up. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Actual Results: Emerged nicely. Expected Results: Incorporate into Portage.
Created attachment 71980 [details] tz-brasil-0.4.ebuild release candidate :)
Benigno, Marcelo, Mauricio, wouldn't any of you take this? I could (try to) rewrite the ebuild, but you could do it much faster and better than me! :) Know I realize http://packages.debian.org/tz-brasil has a real source code tarball -- and now the version is 0.8.
I don't have commit access to the tree as I'm not a developer.
Anyone knows if there is an overlay with this ebuild? Any chance to commit this to the portage tree?
