Description Hugues Fournier 2005-10-30 20:37:56 UTC
A leap second will take place on December 31st at 23:59:60 UTC. It has been
decided on the July 4th, 2005 by the International Earth Rotation and
Reference Systems Service.
See: http://hpiers.obspm.fr/eoppc/bul/bulc/bulletinc.dat
And for more information,
http://hpiers.obspm.fr/eop-pc/earthor/utc/leapsecond.html

timezone/leapseconds has been updated upstream on the CVS HEAD and the 2.3
BRANCH.
See:
http://sources.redhat.com/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/libc/timezone/leapseconds?cvsroot=glibc
(version 1.11 for HEAD and 1.8.4.3 for the 2.3 BRANCH, in fact identical)

In order to take this coming leap second into account, it would be wise to
backport this version in all glibc ebuilds.

Reproducible: Always
