Description Frank 2005-09-10 11:47:53 UTC
python-fchksum-1.7.1 fails to build with:
i386-pc-linux-gnu-gcc...
gcc-config:
Could not run/locate "i386-pc-linux-gnu-gcc"

on an i686-gnu-linux-gcc system

Could not reproduce it because emerge system afterward failed some packages
earlier. Happened 08.09.2005 with portage snapshot 20050709

Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Download and burn life-cd
2.boot CD
3.create partitions and filesystems, configure network
4.download and unpack stage1 and portage snapshot
5.mount filesystems
6.chroot
7.bootstrap system
8.emerge --emptytree system

Actual Results:
System can't be installed.
emerge crashes with the details above

Expected Results:
System should be installable. python-fchksum should use the compiler due to
CHOST(i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc on an i686 system, not i386-pc-linux-gnu-gcc)
