Description Andreas Herrmann 2005-08-09 01:16:31 UTC
I tried to update my system using "emerge --update world". This stopped during
emerg of kde-base/kdelibs-3.4.1-r1 with th following message:

BTW, I have installed gcc-3.3.5.20050130-r1 on my system so the above
dependency to
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.4/libstdc++.la
cannot be fulfilled.

Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:
I did an "emerge --update world". But I guess that a simple emerge kdelibs
#> emerge kdelibs
will fail, too. I am about to run an "emerge kdelibs" but as you might know this
will take some time ...

Just for your info, in fact I have done the following steps
#> emerge --sync
#> emerge --fetchonly --update wolrd (when I was online)
#> emerge --update world (when I was offline)
Actual Results:
See compile errors described above.

Expected Results:
emerge kdelibs without errors

Following output of "emerge info" on my system:

Portage 2.0.51.19 (default-linux/x86/2005.0, gcc-3.3.5-20050130, glibc-2.3.5-r0,

Comment 1 Andreas Herrmann 2005-08-09 01:47:20 UTC
I could reproduce the error performing
#> emerge kdelibs
