In the Installation Tips and Tricks manual for the Software RAID part, it mentions that the command "mknod" should be run. But it doesn't say that this command should be run inside the chrooted environment again. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the link http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/gentoo-x86- tipsntricks.xml#software-raid 2. Follow the instruction of the Gentoo installation. 3. Actual Results: The LILO installation will break with the warning that the /dev/md0 doesn't exists. Expected Results: When run the "mknod /dev/md0" right before issuing the "/sbin/lilo", everything was fine.
Added myself to receive an E-mails about the bug
