I couldn't get intltool to compile: checking for XML::Parser... configure: error: XML::Parser perl module is required for intltool !!! Please attach the config.log to your bug report: !!! /var/tmp/portage/intltool-0.34.1/work/intltool-0.34.1/config.log !!! ERROR: dev-util/intltool-0.34.1 failed. It looks like XML-Parser installs into: /usr/System/Library/Perl/5.8.6/darwin-thread-multi-2level /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.6/darwin-thread-multi-2level neither of which is in the system @INC: #perl -V @INC: /System/Library/Perl/5.8.6/darwin-thread-multi-2level /System/Library/Perl/5.8.6 /Library/Perl/5.8.6/darwin-thread-multi-2level /Library/Perl/5.8.6 /Library/Perl /Network/Library/Perl/5.8.6/darwin-thread-multi-2level /Network/Library/Perl/5.8.6 /Network/Library/Perl /System/Library/Perl/Extras/5.8.6/darwin-thread-multi-2level /System/Library/Perl/Extras/5.8.6 /Library/Perl/5.8.1/darwin-thread-multi-2level /Library/Perl/5.8.1 /usr/System/Library/Perl/5.8.6/darwin-thread-multi-2level/perllocal.pod tells the system to look in /usr/lib/perl for local modules, but as perllocal.pod isn't included, it doesn't find XML-Parser.
you are right, hence the dependency for bug #93638 on this one, and the summary of this bug: dev-util/intltool-0.33 compiles and works, >>> given libs-perl/XML-Parser is installed <<< ;) thanks for checking out anyway!
Sorry about that, I missed the bug dependency, will continue this in #93638
Also on x86 with intltool-0.34.1 checking for XML::Parser... configure: error: XML::Parser perl module is required for intltool !!! Please attach the config.log to your bug report: !!! /var/tmp/portage/intltool-0.34.1/work/intltool-0.34.1/config.log

Marc, I think you should open a new bug for x86, because this bug is very specific for OSX...
this is already in prefix.
