Hi ! In future releases of courier-imap, courier-imap won't provide pam.d files to prevent multiple imap/pop servers to collide. Those versions will depend on mailbase-0.00-r7 which is not on ARCH but ~ARCH because of the potential collision with every imap/pop server providing pam.d files. Anyway, if you remove those files then mailbase will emerge fine and your server will still work perfectly. I'll get courier-imap maintainer to remove pam.d stuff and depend on mailbase-0.00-r7.
