kde-i18n-3.3.1.ebuild

this is a proposal for an ebuild based on the 3.3.0 ebuild.
the only change is using the commented line for MY_PV instead of the special
one added for 3.3.0.
Comment 2 Guillaume Castagnino 2004-10-15 11:46:45 UTC
I made the same modifications
Works for me too (LINGUAS=fr)
Comment 3 Patrizio Bassi 2004-10-16 07:19:40 UTC
waiting for portage to be updated so :)
Comment 4 f5d8fd51ed1e804c9e8d0357e8614e0493b06e96 2004-10-17 12:18:24 UTC
is there any particular reason why one week after kde has been updated to 3.3.1 the i18n packages still lacks an ebuild ?

time, Olaf, time
Comment 6 Caleb Tennis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-18 05:41:26 UTC
it takes me a while to run the Manifest digests.
Comment 7 Emanuele Tamponi 2004-10-18 09:34:40 UTC
Problem: kde-i18n-it doesn't work! Error while compiling...

patch-kde-i18n-it.diff

The error for kde-i18n-it is probably here (italian
translators screwed up a bit the release):

http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90966

patch attached, it should be the same sent to the private mailing list
kde-packager
Comment 9 Emanuele Tamponi 2004-10-19 09:49:41 UTC
I can not apply that patch... what directory should I use it from?
Comment 10 Gregorio Guidi (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-19 14:41:27 UTC
mmm... wait, I just discovered that kde-i18n-it _works_ here, and in fact
there are already the compiled index.cache.bz2 files inside the package, the
compilation really has nothing to do. So why does it fail for you?
Comment 11 Simone Gotti (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-19 15:00:58 UTC
Instead I have the same problem reported on bugs.kde.org... I can't think of different sources as the digest should be different too...
Tomorrow I'll try appling your provided patch.
Comment 12 Simone Gotti (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-20 03:20:34 UTC
I rediffed the patch in the unified format and changed the ebuild, now it works because I was having problems applying it with epatch. This patch is only a revert to the old CVS file version, so not a real fix; but this is what the translators did in kde CVS

I'll attach them.

Caleb, I think that this patch should go in kde-i18n as its not marked stable and it will give troubles to all the users that uses the italian localization.
Comment 18 Caleb Tennis (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-11-07 09:19:49 UTC
please commit if you can - i don't use i18n so I cannot test it right now.
Comment 19 Simone Gotti (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-11-07 16:21:04 UTC
I've added the patch and tested it. It worked well for me with and without italian localization. The patch was too big so it isn't in the portage but on my dev space.

If someone can test it I'll be happy. Thanks.
