an git ebuild ( -9999 ) is also possible but we still need a stable tarball for it. Why keep the 0.5.4-prefix.patch as a separate patch? Can't you just merge this in the git code as well? Mostly because I was unsure of what the whole prefix thing meant, and I wanted to release the most important fixes first. Also, with the prefix changes committed in the sources, the code won't be usable except by using the ebuild. I wonder if that's something we want. I could change the sources to make it more prefix friendly though by creating a ${prefix} that can be configured at the start of the script. (In reply to comment #3) > Created attachment 331228 [details] > localepurge-0.5.4.tbz2 I moved that to my devspace (In reply to comment #1) > Created attachment 331224 [details] > localepurge-0.5.4-r1.ebuild No reason for -r1. There is no 0.5.4 ebuild anyway. I wonder if that's something we want. I guess this is expected as this package is Gentoo specific ( I am not 100% sure about that ) and I am quite confident that 99% of the people who are using it, will have the ebuild installed anyway. > > I could change the sources to make it more prefix friendly though by > creating a ${prefix} that can be configured at the start of the script.
