Description Faustus 2010-10-12 18:56:56 UTC
It's an upstream problem, but the ebuild already patches gpa.desktop with desktop-file-validate.patch, so I figured this belongs here.

The "GenericName" entries in gpa.desktop should be renamed to "Name" entries, see http://standards.freedesktop.org/desktop-entry-spec/latest/ar01s05.html

"GNU Privacy Assistant" is a specific application name, not a generic one. The optional generic name (if desired) could be something like "Cryptographic Keyring Manager".

Incidentally, this fix would make application menu entries having "GNU Privacy Assistant" for gpa, not just "gpa".
