Howl is a cross-platform implementation of the Zeroconf networking standard. Zeroconf brings a new ease of use to IP networking.

I suggest net-misc/howl.

This is the first of a few packages I will be submitting to make Gentoo play nicely and be able to provide Zeroconf (Rendezvous) services with a Apple Mac computer.

Version 0.9 adds an api for accessing DNS-SD TXT records and the usual
bugfixes/improvements.
