Most probably the issue is triggered by some other upgrade. I am planning to go throught he emerge log of that day and try to find what else could have caused it. So, I reviewed emerge log and I could not see what else could have caused this issue, except for an upgrade to the new kernel, where alsa-driver would sit: So, currently I have sys-kernel/tuxonice-sources-2.6.33. Upgrade also included updates to the following packages (in addition to kde), but I doubt they have anything to do with the issue: bison app-admin/system-config-printer-common dev-java/sun-jce-bin dev-java/sun-jdk I am just downgrading kernel to see if the problem goes away. Never mind, I fixed the problem by deleting /root/Skype directory. Skype re-created it and now it works fine. |
