adding missing USE dep
MAX_VAR_DIMS is defined when sci-libs/hdf is compiled with netcdf support.
But there was an other problem when hdf was compiled with netcdf USE flag, therefore I remove the netcdf USE flag from hdf. Perhaps sci-libs/gdal does not compile if hdf was compiled with netcdf flag. I just tried to set again the netcdf flag for hdf. It was not gdal which can't be emerge with hdf and netcdf flag. But dev-lang/gdl fails now to emerge: checking for SDstart in -lmfhdf... yes checking for sd_nccreate in -lmfhdf... no Error! HDF4 needs to be configured with the --disable-netcdf option in order to be used with the original netCDF library (-alt suffixed HDF4 packages in case of Debian) Check the INSTALL file of the HDF4 package for details !!! Please attach the following file when seeking support: !!! /var/tmp/portage/dev-lang/gdl-0.9_rc4/work/gdl-0.9rc4/config.log * ERROR: dev-lang/gdl-0.9_rc4 failed: So, what to do? I need hdf-java for sci-mathematics/scilab, but I want to use dev-lang/.gdl too. Is there any way to install both packages? Setting dev-java/hdf-java -hdf seems me to be a workaround. Please report in original bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 301049 *** |
