I modified the title because after some research I realized it is actually because I use "gdu"(by default) for gvfs-1.4.3, and it looks like for some reason I couldn't make gnome-disk-utility to mount ntfs partition using ntfs-3g. I now temporarily use a workaround by ln -s /bin/ntfs-3g /sbin/mount.ntfs I don't know if this bug report should be closed because I really have no idea if this is the way gdu should be. I checked ubuntu and found they have this link. A dpkg -S indicates that link belonging to ntfs-3g. Perhaps we should consider add such link? The kernel level ntfs support seems to be useless for many people who would like to use their removable disk. Anyway, if there is a configuration to tell gdu to use ntfs-3g instead of ntfs, please kindly tell me and ignore my report as invalid. Thanks. I think this is a dupe of bug 304765 , but feel free to reopen if I am wrong *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 304765 *** |
