django 1.1 should be pretty fine for stabilizing (no open bugs, over 30 day periode), cc-ing x86 and amd64 archs, maybe others too? (In reply to comment #1) > django 1.1 should be pretty fine for stabilizing It depends on >=app-admin/eselect-python-20090804. app-admin/eselect-python-20090824 will be stabilized on 2009-09-23. fails testsuite here on amd64/x86: dev-python/django-1.1 USE="examples test -bash-completion -doc -mysql -postgres -sqlite -vhosts" Importing model sessions Traceback (most recent call last): File "tests/runtests.py", line 191, in <module> django_tests(int(options.verbosity), options.interactive, args) File "tests/runtests.py", line 161, in django_tests failures = test_runner(test_labels, verbosity=verbosity, interactive=interactive, extra_tests=extra_tests) File "/var/tmp/portage/dev-python/django-1.1/work/Django-1.1/build-2.6/lib/django/test/simple.py", line 182, in run_tests suite.addTest(build_suite(app)) File "/var/tmp/portage/dev-python/django-1.1/work/Django-1.1/build-2.6/lib/django/test/simple.py", line 58, in build_suite test_module = get_tests(app_module) File "/var/tmp/portage/dev-python/django-1.1/work/Django-1.1/build-2.6/lib/django/test/simple.py", line 16, in get_tests test_module = __import__('.'.join(app_path + [TEST_MODULE]), {}, {}, TEST_MODULE) File "/var/tmp/portage/dev-python/django-1.1/work/Django-1.1/tests/regressiontests/dateformat/tests.py", line 79, in <module> translation.activate('en-us') File "/var/tmp/portage/dev-python/django-1.1/work/Django-1.1/build-2.6/lib/django/utils/translation/__init__.py", line 73, in activate return real_activate(language) File "/var/tmp/portage/dev-python/django-1.1/work/Django-1.1/build-2.6/lib/django/utils/translation/trans_real.py", line 205, in activate _active[currentThread()] = translation(language) File "/var/tmp/portage/dev-python/django-1.1/work/Django-1.1/build-2.6/lib/django/utils/translation/trans_real.py", line 195, in translation current_translation = _fetch(language, fallback=default_translation) File "/var/tmp/portage/dev-python/django-1.1/work/Django-1.1/build-2.6/lib/django/utils/translation/trans_real.py", line 160, in _fetch res._info = res._info.copy() AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute '_info' * * ERROR: dev-python/django-1.1 failed. * Call stack: * ebuild.sh, line 49: Called src_test * environment, line 3541: Called python_execute_function 'testing' * environment, line 3117: Called die * The specific snippet of code: * die "${failure_message}"; I'm changing pythonpath from build/* to "." (top level in tarball) The problem is that 2.6 has changed build behavior which results in distutils omitting conf/locale/ when generating build/*. One important lesson of this is that "python setup.py build" and "python setup.py install" generates different file lists. See this Django ticket for more info: http://code.djangoproject.com/ticket/11979 Should we try to stabilize 1.1.1 instead? 1.1 was removed tests are still failing on 1.1.1 :-( Tests with Python 2.6 should pass now. Thanks for fixing it :-) amd64 stable x86 stable, thanks Thomas, closing |
