*** Bug 251728 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 251839 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Well the bug gets triggered when the --retry switch is used in conjuction with the --stop switch. --retry currently sets the signal s-s-d uses to kill some process to 0 instead of 15 (SIGTERM). This is the fix, Roy added to openrc-trunk some hours ago.
I did a quick test with sysklogd's init script and the patch seems to fix the problem.
