Summary: stabilize media-video/kino-1.1.1 for ffmpeg-0.4.9_p20070616
Keywords:  STABLEREQ
Status Whiteboard:
Opened: 2007-09-27 04:22 0000
Description:   Opened: 2007-09-27 04:22 0000
Both are, from what I'm told, stable releases and are blocking each other
incorrectly.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
Blocked package.

------- Comment #1 From Jakub Moc (RETIRED) 2007-09-27 04:45:52 0000 -------
(In reply to comment #0)
Yeah, sure we are adding the blockers just for fun, so that users are annoyed.
Sigh.

@calchan - can 1.1.1 be stabilized?

------- Comment #2 From Alex Wait 2007-09-27 04:48:59 0000 -------
I tried manually masking ffmpeg which prevents blender from being emerged. I
have a feeling that this will continue.

------- Comment #3 From Samuli Suominen 2007-09-27 16:22:44 0000 -------
Calchan said it's fine, so CCing archteams.

Thanks Tobias for the fix. I implemented it using sed but it's your idea.

You guys can go ahead and stabilize this now. I will then give this thing the
well deserved cleanup it's been waiting for.

Denis.

(Reply if interested in a more detailed bt)
Although if kino is started again your project is restored and you could keep
working again without video loss.

  - Audio FX works.
  - Export through ffmpeg works.

I tested current stable (kino-1.0) and video FX works without problems. I think
kino-1.1 is not ready to go stable.
