Prerequisite: bug #178635 (stable request)
Please mark gentoo-sources-2.6.21-r3 stable.
(ppc64, please mark ~arch instead, as it is currently unkeyworded)
I have been testing this myself on x86 and amd64. No issues from where I'm
standing. Also our buglist is nice and clean.
The usual stuff: more hardware support, lots of fixes and improvements, ...
Also fixes a number of bugs that we haven't been able to backport fixes for:
bug #165815, bug #172235, bug #172244, bug #172834, bug #182484
Thanks!
Could you also mark the corresponding vanilla-sources-2.6.21.5 stable as well?
Thanks!
Both marked ppc stable, re-added sparc, sorry.
sure, we always forget that!
====amd64====
Merges fine. Compiles fine(i have never seen a kernel build problem...weird).
Works fine. Should stabili[z, s]e fine. :P
I tested NFS, sensors, booting, networking(NFS, duh), X11, Nvidia.

another preqrequisite that I forgot earlier: bug #184325
readding sparc and ppc so that they can be aware of the dep, sorry guys...
Has anyone tested suspend-to-ram in gentoo-sources-2.6.21-r3 ? On my machine,
it works perfectly in gentoo-sources-2.6.21-r1 but resume fails in
gentoo-sources-2.6.21-r3. I am testing gentoo-sources-2.6.21-r2 now to close
the regression gap.
ok, finished testing on r2 and the resume hangs just like r3. r1 works. Does
anyone know what happened between r1 and r2 that could break ACPI
suspend-to-ram?
Nvidia nforce4
amd 3800+ X2 using amd64
sata_nv and amd pata (not from libata) driver for IDE
No changes (apart from kernel) in hardware or software between r1 and r2
Please file a new bug for your suspend issues, rather than polluting unrelated
ones. (btw, git bisect will not help you here)
suspend to ram does not exist on ppc64 as far as I know.
-r4 and .6 stable on ppc64
alpha stable, thanks Tobias and Brian for testing
Marked ppc stable again too.
x86 stable, thanks Sander
Works for me in an amd64 virtual machine (Qemu/KVM).
Stable for me on a real amd64 system ;)
amd64: you also need vanilla-sources, don't you? (comment #2)
aye, just forgot to commit it
