This bug depends on items that must be finished before we can remove the requirement on generation 1 being installed.

All's left is to stabilize java-config-wrapper-1.6 and maybe make java-pkg.eclass die if anyone tries to use it by mistake?

Should we p.mask/remove java-config-1 now?

I didn't know this issue was still open?

At least for my installation, requirements for installation of generation-1 VM are gone for a long time now, no gen-1 VM installed, and java-check-environments runs fine without any warning.

Thumbs up for kicking out that old crap on my account.
