to be retired.
Waiting for the following to hit the mirrors (letting you know so that someone
doesn't duplicate work):

Removed older gamin ebuild and patch.
It's a digest file, generated by portage. I'm sorry that it got so large; but
it's not really something I can move to the mirrors.
x11-plugins/wmbutton done.
apache's FILESDIR will get cleaned up when old-style is no longer supported
after March 1
mc is looking for a maintainer
net-p2p/bittorrent-stats fixed.

Is it possible to move patches to the mirrors while preventing the
source tarballs from being fetched?

Just putting mirror://gentoo in SRC_URI should work fine. The restriction just
means it doesn't check Gentoo mirrors prior to what's in SRC_URI.
My bad, Ciaran pointed out that my suggestion works with nomirror, not fetch.

Well, you could still do the mirror://gentoo thing for the patch and tell the
user to manually fetch it as well. Might be worth checking whether portage will
resolve the SRC_URI location to an actual URL.

Argh, sorry - I committed this yesterday, and didn't notice the filesize of the
patch. I'm waiting for the patch to propagate through our mirroring system
until I commit the fixed ebuild from my overlay.

In addition to large patches, will you address also the problem of too many
patches in filesdir? Right now there are about 8300 patches in filesdir (about
20 megabyte of files). They are about 7% of the portage tree.
