To address requirements in kernel 2.6.15, udev 079 has been stabilized.  Unless anyone else is experiancing specific problems, amd64 should follow x86, hppa, sparc and ppc.  I've been using it since kernel 2.6.15 release and it is very stable.

This bug was not indented for you.  This bug was intended specifically for the amd64 port team, and should remain open unless closed by someone on that team.  Thanks.
