As stated on the akregator website: "A critical bug creeped in: In Akregator 1.0 and 1.0.1 the global archive options Delete Article s older than... and Disable archiving are mixed up: Choosing Delete Articles older than... causes a loss of feed archives unless a feed has its own archive setting overriding the global one." Please version bump Akregator (and mask 1.01?). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Might be a good time to just nix net-www/akregator and make kde-base the default?
Caleb: I don't think so. Akregator is not part of KDE 3.3. This bug will be fixed in KDE 3.4.1. It's more that kde-base/akregator needs to be patched or masked again. There's alsso a non-trivial problem with kuser btw. -> http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-312021.html
I think we should patch it until kdepim 3.4.1 isn't released. This also one of the reasons the splitted ebuilds are good for.
I just committed version 3.4.0-r1 of kde-base/akregator and kde-base/kdepim to fix this issue (net-www/akregator was updated, too). Please report if there are problems.

Something strange is going on. I just run "emerge sync" and then "emerge -auvD world" but there was no kde-base/akregator-3.4.0-r1 on the list for upgrade. I then checked if there even is a newer version and it was in the portage as expected. So it looks like portage doesn't find the new kde-base/akregator-3.4.0-r1 to upgrade to. Is there something wrong?
And after I manualy upgraded to 1.0.2 the about dialog still shows the wrong old version of 1.0.
The version doesn't change in kde-base/akregator from kdepim. it should be changed in net-www/akregator.
