WDYT of stabilizing latest clisp? bug #638514 claims newer version work on 17.0 profiles while current stable does not. Target KEYWORDS would be: alpha amd64 ia64 ppc x86
I can only speak for myself (I used to be a contributor to gentoo-lisp). I have successfully build clisp-2.49.92 on amd64 stable, and two rev deps: * app-text/cedilla-0.6 (stable) and -0.7 (~) * app-text/xindy-2.4-r1 I have not tried to build the other reverse dependencies: * app-vim/slimv (requires python2_7) * sci-mathematics/maxima, if USE=clisp * sci-mathematics/fricas, if USE=clisp and no stable version I don't see any strong reason for not stabilizing. I can try to build maxima and fricas and run some sample if asked to.
Arch teams, please stabilise.
