Quick status update: No one from mysql project is using dev-db/mysql anymore. That said, we cannot really judge.

From a quick view at the ebuild I noticed that we are now bundling boost but still depending on dev-libs/boost. That doesn't make sense. I'll investigate later. Could be a leftover. Once the boost thing is sorted we can start stabilization following your testing ;)

Let's give =dev-db/mysql-5.7.23-r1 some time, plan is to start stabilization in 3-4 days if nothing new will pop up.
