nvidia-settings-355.11 was released on 2015-08-27 : ftp://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/nvidia-settings/nvidia-settings-355.11.tar.bz2 Please bump. Reproducible: Always
I tried to create an updated ebuild to my local portage-tree and got a file-collision detected on /usr/lib/libnvidia-gtk3.so.355.11 ('equery b' indicated that it belongs to nvidia-drivers) and that got me thinking... nvidia-settings seems to be provided through USE="tools" in x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers now instead. So I'm opting out from nvidia-settings now :)
It seems that the nvidia-settings ebuild has been deprecated, see https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/commit/8c909902c0bb2fa2efedb0d7d8bb32eefe4771e6
The nvidia-settings from the nvidia-drivers package sometimes does not work because it is linked against older ABI versions of system libraries. This happens from time to time. For a permanent availability you should use the package nvidia-settings. To prevent file file-collision you have to set "-tools" for nvidia-drivers.
355.11 has just been added. Thanks!
