Asymptote depends on the newest version of media9 which in turn is released after the official TeX Live 2012 release.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download asymptote file http://asymptote.sourceforge.net/gallery/3D%20graphs/sinc.asy
2. Don't use config file in ~/.asy
3. Run `asy -f pdf sinc.asy`
Actual Results:  
The following error message:

Expected Results:

The problem is solved by downgrading to asymptote-2.16.

As texlive-2014 is stable for all relevant KEYWORDS, we are done here.
