Renaming the 0.8.7_pre1 ebuild to pre2 works.
I can confirm that bumping the ebuild to 0.8.7_pre2 works. Hello, but it doesn't compile with 2.6.35-r1 The new CVS Version works fine with this kernel also the USB Reciever Stuff works fine. But we need a ebuild to get the CVS Version. I installed by hand the kernel Modules to get it work. Ragards Roland
0.8.7_pre3 has been released by now, which should compile with kernel 2.6.35 and higher.
0.8.7 has been released. rename works. Also, lircd is seg faulting on the iguanaIR driver with the pre1 currently in portage but works fine with the final release. Together with the 2.6.35 kernel issue, this is already fixing 2 show-stopping bugs for free. Please update it. Thanks.

Thank you for your patience, this will not fix all errors but at least it fixes some drivers (for me for example :). So let's wait until the development has settled down upstream (kernel and lirc), life will be a lot easier when this is done.
