I've built new "gaming" PC with ASUS MoBo and I got similar errors during compiling of GCC. And yes, it was HW issue (wrong memory timing) It seems that you've HW/memory probles. I recommend you to emerge "sci-mathematics/gimps" program. There is "benchmark/stress" test. After few minutes (15-30) of that test you'll know if you've "faulty" HW or not. (In my case, there was "aggressive" memory timing set in BIOS)
