The media-video/xine-ui ebuild (version 0.99.3) doesn't contain the file /usr/share/applications/xine.desktop which means that the xine GUI application doesn't show up in the Gnome menu. I will attach a file that I use (English only). This file could(/should?) be added to the xine-ui ebuild. From there, other usbview users may provide national translations to complement the file.
