Description Georgi Chulkov 2005-06-27 10:47:43 UTC
During a stage 1 install with a stage 3 tarball dev-python/python-fchksum-1.7.1
fails to emerge with the message:

gcc-config error: Could not run/locate "i386-pc-linux-gnu-gcc"
error: command 'i386-pc-linux-gnu-gcc' failed with exit status 1

I have (only) gcc-3.4.4 installed, but it is i686, and the package seems to
look for i386.

Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc-3.4.4
2. Uninstall any other version of gcc
3. Emerge python-fchksum

Actual Results:
The error cited above.

Expected Results:
Emerged :)

The same error happens with sys-apps/file-4.13.
