Amarok 1.2.3 randomly crashes, frequently taking my gnome session with it forcing me to login again. It happens frequently when the end of a playlist is reached, but occasionally at other times as well. Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce Steps to Reproduce: Frequently, when amarok reaches the end of a playlist it exits and ends my gnome session. Sometimes it happens when not at the ened of a playlist, and it doesn't always happen at the end of a playlist. I cannot reliably reproduce it. CFLAGS are O3, fomit-frame-pointer, march=athlon-xp, and pipe Relevant USE variables are flac, gstreamer, mad, mysql, oggvorbis, opengl, visualization, xine, xmms Using xine engine, xine-lib-1.0-r2, same CFLAGS Use variables for xine-lib are X, aac, aalib, alsa, directfb, dvd, fbcon, flac, gnome, ipv6, mng, nls, opengl, oss, png, samba, sdl, theora, v4l, vorbis, win32codecs
Have you tried with newer versions? Tried switching engines? Have you got a backtrace, or some output from running amarok in a console (it may help to compile amarok with USE="debug") Please always post your 'emerge info'.

Do you happen to use Firefox in cunjunction with the FoxyTunes extension? If so, try to disable it and see if Amarok still crashes at the end of the playlist. Without FoxyTunes, Amarok never crashed on my machine again. According to http://www.iosart.com/foxytunes/firefox/index.html the most recent version of FoxyTunes fixes the bug, but I haven't tested it.
Please provide update informations.
Very old version, no feedback.
