This is a QT frontend for libnjb-2.0+ called KZenExplorer Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. place ebuild in $PORTAGE_OVERLAY/media-sound/kzenexplorer 2. do an ebuild $PORTAGE_OVERLAY/media-sound/kzenexplorer/kzenexplorer-0.6_rc1.ebuild digest 3. add media-libs/libnjb-2.X (either 2.1 or 2.1.2) ~x86 and media-sound/kzenexplorer ~x86 4. emerge -pv kzenexplorer Actual Results: Works with libnjb 2.1 and 2.1.2 (possibly could work with libnjb 2.0_pre20050208, see "Additional Information" Expected Results: addition to the main tree I'm currently running KDE 3.3.2, though it is not clear if it REQUIRES 3.3.2, I set it as requiring 3.3...if anyone can say it works on other versions let me know. I tested it with libnjb-2.0_pre20050208, libnjb-2.1, and libnjb-2.1.2; pre20050208 seemed to hang so I'm not sure if it works (kzenexplorer's website says it requires >=2.0 so that could be why, that being a pre) but 2.1 and 2.1.2 work fine (2.1 SEEMS to work a little better but it doesn't matter much I don't think). I had some problems (weird errors, didn't cause crahses) at first, but I recompile libnjb with CFLAGS="-O2 -march=i686" and it worked after that (you'll need to recompile kzen after recompiling libnjb) I have no idea if this works on other arches, but I have no access to them though I would think it worked on anything that libnjb and KDE worked on. Created attachment 61259 [details] ebuild ebuild for kzenexplorer-0.6_rc1
Comment on attachment 61259 [details] ebuild Oh yeah btw, this is my first ebuild.
I'd also like to maintain this ebuild if possible, thanks.
(In reply to comment #3) > I'd also like to maintain this ebuild if possible, thanks. You can't really maintain maintain this ebuild if you are not a developer. However, you can help maintain this ebuild by reporting bugs, version bumps, sending patches and corrections to the current ebuild -- which is the same thing a developer does, except that you get a developer to review your work before it is committed to the tree. I am taking the responsibility of maintaining this ebuild as a developer. It has just been committed as media-sound/kzenexplorer. Good work on a first ebuild, but please have a look at my corrections on the version I committed. I listed you as a third party maintainer in metadata.xml so that you get the proper credit. Cheers, Marcelo
