If you need support, post the topmost build error, NOT this status message. As a side note, why is there only the rt2x00.serialmonkey.com driver in portage, and not the official one from ralinktech.com? They still seem to be releasing them (latest being 4 days ago). I am almost sure they have a fix in the cvs, can you please get a patch for me to apply?
if you want to add an ebuild for the "official" driver, go ahead :)
I'll have a look for a patch, but the ebuild fails due to it's own checking - it doesn't even try and compile for 2.4.x Is this version known to not work with 2.4.x and that's why <2.6.6 is blocked? I just compiled the "official" driver by hand and the kernel panicked on load. Guess I won't be bothering :p
The kernel 2.4 patch would need to come from the rt2x00project. Closing this as UPSTREAM, please reopen when a patch for 2.4 support is available
The status of this is wrong, it's not marked upstream, and it's certainly not resolved.
Reopening.
Really closing as UPSTREAM this time.
